We have forgotten how to wait: this space is practically abandoned. Being able to wait for the right time is our most valuable asset. The whole existence waits for the right time. Even the trees know it - when it's time to bloom and when it's time to drop their leaves and stand naked to the sky. Still retain their beauty in the nude, waiting for the new foliage, surrounded by a deep trust: the old is gone and soon will the new and the new shoots begin to sprout. We have forgotten how to wait, we want everything fast. This is a great loss for humanity ... In silence and waiting, something in you keeps growing - your authentic being. And one day we will jump out and become a flame and destroy your personality will be a new man! And this new man what a great ceremony to take part, knows the nectar of eternal life.
Osho Zen: The Diamond Thunderbolt Chapter 10
Comment:
There are times when the only thing to do is wait. The seed was sown, the child is growing in the womb, the oyster is weaving a grain of sand, turning into a pearl. This paper reminds us that this is a time when the only thing that is required is to be attentive, patient, waiting. The woman pictured here is precisely this attitude. Satisfied, without any trace of anxiety, is simply on hold. Through all phases of the moon that slide over his head, the patient remains in complete harmony with the rhythms of the moon, to the point of having virtually united with her. The woman knows that it's time to be passive, letting nature take its course. But it is neither sleepy nor indifferent, knows that he must be ready for anything of great importance. It is a time full of mystery, as are the hours before dawn. It is a time when the only thing to do is wait.
